Kate Middleton turns up the royal charm on Pakistan visit

Let’s be honest. When a tour by Duke and Duchesss of Cambridge to Pakistan was announced, we were beyond happy.
Not just because they are THE ROYAL COUPLE but mainly because we couldn’t wait to see what Kate Middleton would be wearing on the five-day visit to the country.
And of course, the Duchess of Cambridge did not disappoint.
For the arrival, Kate opted for a dress by Catherine Walker, an aqua blue shalwar kameez paired with nude heels. She accessorised the ensemble with matching Zeen earrings and cream-coloured clutch by the same brand.
This particular get-up by Kate gave us some major fashion déjà vu as it resembled what her mother-in-law, Princess Diana, wore in 1996 when she visited the country.
Diana’s ensemble was nearly the same shade of aqua, with buttons running down the center and a white dupatta. Both outfits, that of Middleton and Diana, featured long tunics and matching straight pants, inspired by the traditional shalwar kameez.
Coincidence? Maybe not, as day two wasn’t very different when the Duchess made an appearance at a local school.
For her second outfit, Kate donned a royal blue outfit by Pakistani designer Maheeen Khan, paired with New Look wide fit suedette low heel courts.
The image was another throwback for us, as the late Diana also wore similar matching separates when she visited the country.
For the meeting with President Arif Alvi and Prime Minister Imran Khan at the President House, Kate once again stunned with white trousers by Maheen Khan paired with a bright green tunic by Catherine Walker.
She accessorised the dress with a scarf by Satrangi and earrings by Zeen.
Later, on Tuesday, Kate and her husband travelled to the National Monument in Islamabad where they arrived in a decorated rickshaw.
Kate donned an forest green Jenny Packham dress, with open heels, while William wore an diamond-patterned, emerald green sherwani to match her.
Their rickshaw driver, in a classy suit, waved after dropping the couple to their destination.
On day three,Kate and William travelled to Chitral where they were given traditional Chitrali hats on arrival.
For a visit to the valley, Kate paired a dark brown button down and skirt with a vest and shawl. She later added a white Chitrali cap and shawl given to her by the locals.
