Dengue claims another life in Karachi, bringing death toll to 19

KARACHI: Dengue fever claimed another life on Wednesday, sources at Sindh's health department said, bringing the total death toll to 19.

According to the sources, the deceased, 35, was a resident of Metroville neighbourhood of Karachi and passed away in a hospital in Pakistan's southern port city.

Further, the total number of ongoing dengue cases in Sindh rose to 2,505, the sources said, whereas the total number of the province's dengue cases, including those who have recovered, totalled 5,722.

Of the 5,722, 5,376 hailed from Karachi.
