TikTok star Hareem Shah on Wednesday took the internet by storm with her video from inside the Foreign Ministry.

Twitter and Facebook users were taken aback as they saw the woman roaming freely in a government building where common folks are not allowed to enter, let alone make selfies.

The video seemed to have angered some die-hard Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) fans too who have called for sacking of the person who arranged Shah’s visit to the Foreign Office building.

While an inquiry has been ordered into the video, any government official has yet to offer any comment on the episode.

Zartaj Gul Wazir, Minister of State for Climate Change, was the only one who was reported to have commented, although rather annoyingly, on the video.

When asked for comments, she expressed helplessness in stopping Hareem Shah from entering government building saying the TikToker introduces herself as a media person, making it difficult for personnel to prevent her from entering government buildings.

Farhan Virk, a social media activist associated with the PTI, also felt offended by the video and took it upon himself to expose the person who allowed Shah to visit the building.

He has posted multiple tweets against the yet to be identified person who arranged Hareem Shah’s visit to the Foreign Office where she was seen sitting on a chair which Pakistan’s top diplomat often uses to discuss country’s foreign affairs.

Other PTI workers were also protesting over the incident by sending hundreds of tweets.
