Afghan extremists barred from entering Mohmand Agency

PESHAWAR: Pakistan Army said that it has restricted Afghan extremists/terrorists from entering Mohmand Agency, Geo News reported Thursday. The army further said that the security forces have gained control of the key check post of Chokarai.

While briefing the media in Mohmand Agency, Operational Commander Brig Aftab Ahmed told that the area from Matai Wadi to Chokarai has been cleared, however, search operation in some areas is still underway.

He said that during search and clearance operation, scores of militants were forced out of the area.

The operational commander said that the forces have secured the area from Matai Wadi to the Afghan border.
