Lahore police officers try scaling house to arrest suspects, end up with broken legs

LAHORE: Police officers on Sunday tried to scale the walls of a house in Badami Bagh where a wedding was going on and someone had engaged in aerial firing but two of them ended up, instead, with broken legs.

Lahore police said they had reached the house where the wedding was going on but the residents closed the doors on them and locked their home. To circumvent their fresh hurdle, they then used a ladder in an attempt to climb up the house's walls and arrest the suspects.

However, two officers — Constables Sadaqat Ali and Ali Raza — fell off the ladder and broke their legs, after which they were shifted to a nearby hospital.

All did not fail for the Lahore police, regardless, as they managed to arrest three people, including the bridegroom, and recovered pistols and firecrackers.
