ISLAMABAD: Islamabad Police on Saturday arrested eleven persons including a woman for their alleged involvement in drug peddling, theft, keeping illegal weapons and recovered 1.030 kilogram hashish, fake currency amounting to Rs. 100,000, looted items worth Rs. 91,000 and five pistols from their possession, a police spokesman said.
On a tip off, police nabbed a drug pusher Hameed Ullah and recovered 1.030 kilogram hashish from him. Sabzi Mandi police nabbed two thieves Shafique and Ikhlaq besides recovering stolen items worth Rs. 85,000.
Similarly, Golra police apprehended a thief Shakeel for having stolen items worth Rs. 6,000.
In a crackdown against the anti-social elements following the directions of ASP Saddar Circle, police arrested four including a woman for having four 30 bore pistols and fake currency worth Rs. 100,000.
The nabbed persons were identified as Khan Zeb, Ameer Nawaz, Shahhab and Sajjd while a woman Farhat Bibi was arrested for having fake currency.
Shehzad town police apprehended Ghulam Ali for having 30 bore pistol while Nilore police arrested an accused Astabar Hussain for having 30 bore pistol.
Separate cases have been registered against these nabbed persons and further investigation is underway. (APP)
