Minor girl allegedly abducted on way to Quran lesson in Kasur

KASUR: A minor girl was allegedly abducted on her way to Quran lesson at a local mosque near the city's Ali Park, according to a first information report (FIR) registered with police on Wednesday.

According to the FIR filed on behalf of the eight-year-old missing minor's father, the four named suspects include one woman as well.

The father said in the FIR that his daughter, Tayyaba, had left home to for her Quran lesson at the nearby mosque but never returned. Upon inquiring from the mosque about the girl's whereabouts, they were told that she never turned up in the first place.

Kasur police said they have registered the FIR against four people, including a woman who is the missing minor girl's neighbour, two others, and an unidentified man. Four teams have been set up to safely recover Tayyaba, they added.

The area has been cordoned off and a search operation initiated, police said, adding that they were making use of the Safe City Project's  cameras.
