FAISALABAD: A group of five alleged predator men who raped and filmed underage boys after making them addicted to drugs was arrested in Thikriwala — some 20 kilometres from the city — on Tuesday, Faisalabad police confirmed.

The group of five alleged predator men recorded inappropriate videos of the minor boys and used the clips to blackmail them, police said, adding that they have also recovered the indecent videos, as well as mobile phones, from the suspects' possession.

Reportedly, there were at least two women in the group apart from the five men who were arrested earlier today, authorities added, stressing that they were looking for them as well.

According to the sub-divisional police officer for the Saddar area, Jamshed Chishti, the incidents took place in Thikriwala where at least two suspects, alongside their accomplices, among whom were two women as well, raped, filmed, and threatened multiple underage boys.

The group mostly targeted boys aged 10-17 and blackmailed, threatened, and intimidated them after recording inappropriate videos. They also targeted and threatened girls as well.

A first information report (FIR) was registered after the parents of two girls who were also subjected to blackmail and threats went to police, following which the five alleged rapists were arrested.

Further investigation was ongoing, police said, adding that they were also searching for the arrested suspects' accomplices, who include two women as well.
