Lahore man handing out candies to children arrested over suspected kidnapping

LAHORE: A man who attempted to take away children after handing out candies to them was arrested over suspected kidnapping, police said Tuesday, after residents of the area became suspicious.

Lahore police said they were alerted by locals when a man in the city's Hanjarwal neighbourhood attempted to kidnap two children from their school by enticing them with candies. As he walked away, the residents of the area became suspicious and called police on him.

Police added that they arrested the man and recovered both the children from him. The kids were returned safely to their parents, they added.
