QUETTA, July 8 (APP): Hundreds of human souls living in the 'Kachi Abadis' in various localities of Quetta city are in miserable living conditions and need the attention of concerned quarters to offer them basic amenities facilities of life.
A survey revealed that the residents of 'Kachi Abadis' in Pashtunababd, Sariab and other areas lacking access to potable water in their respective areas.
"We have to fetch water from far-away areas for our families to keep moving the wheel of life", an exhausted married women said."It is the responsibility of those who are sitting at the helm of affairs to take notice and feel the pain and suffering we are going through for several years".
She went on saying "our living is totally dependant on the daily wages earned by our male members for their labour; when they come back to their tent homes, we, some times don't have water to serve them".
Sikandar Khan an elderly man said that due to negligence of the Municipal Corporation, heap of garbage was causing many diseases among people and espeially children in the Kachi Abadi."We cannot afford daily food for our family members and what to talk of expensive medical treatment when they got ill", he said.
"We are too human beings, if the people in posh areas of the city can enjoy the basic amenities of life, so why government is unable to provide the same to us", said an emotional youth.
The people of the 'Kachi Abaadis' appealed the government to take measures for the resolution of the problems they were facing for long since due to non-availability of basic needs of life in their respective areas.
