15 wanted offenders arrested during last week
ISLAMABAD: Islamabad Police detained 15 wanted offenders in drive against criminals during the last week.

The campaign was launched on the instruction of Inspector General of Police Islamabad Bani Amin Khan.

The task had been assigned to heads of 15 police stations to arrest proclaimed offenders and their performance will be reviewed in this regard on weekly basis, Bani Amin said.

He said that no one is above the law and directed to ensure arrest of those involved in crimes of heinous nature.

According to details, five court absconders were arrested by Bhara Khau police, four by Shehzad Town police, two each court absconders by Shalimar and Golra police station, one PO and one court absconders by Industrial area police.

Meanwhile, a police spokesman said that this hunt got underway throughout the district that would continue till the arrest of substantial proclaimed offenders. He said that IGP Islamabad Bani Amin Khan has directed to submit report regarding arrest of POs and court absconders on weekly basis.

The IGP said that performance would be reviewed on weekly basis and directed to dispatch police teams in the residing areas of those criminals still at large.

The commitment and devotion by the police officers and jawans made them successful against these criminal elements also during this year as they remained very much effective in curbing the crime and taking prompt action against the criminals, he added.

Following the directions of IGP Bani Amin Khan, he said efforts have been intensified to arrest the proclaimed offenders, court absconders and gamblers.
