Unidentified assailants throw acid on young man in Quetta, severely burning him

QUETTA: Unidentified assailants on Tuesday threw acid on a young man here in the city's Double Road area, severely burning him, and fled, police confirmed.

According to police, the 25-year-old man was returning home after buying groceries when suddenly, two men appeared on a motorcycle, doused him in acid, and escaped.

Police said the young man's face, chest, and arms were severely burnt in the acid-throwing incident. He was immediately moved to Quetta's Civil Hospital for medical treatment, they added.
