"Terrible continuous performance by our team in Australia needs a change of the coach/chief selector," says PM Imran Khan's special assistant Naeem-ul-Haque.

Prime Minister Imran Khan's Special Assistant on Political Affairs Naeem-ul-Haque on Friday said that the cricket team needs a new head coach and chief selector after the dismal performance of Pakistan cricket team against Australia on the opening day of second Test.

Australia were 302 for one as David Warner and Marnus Labuschagne built an ominous 294-run partnership, leaving Pakistan with a huge battle to stay in touch on day one.

Taking wickets in Australia has always been a challenge for Pakistan however the consistent bad performances by the away team has led PM Imran Khan's confidant to believe that certain changes are necessary for Pakistan to perform better.

"Terrible continuous performance by our team in Australia needs a change of the coach/chief selector," said Naeem.

"There is not even a slight hope for a decent performance," he added.
