RAWALPINDI: City District Government Rawalpindi on the directives of DCO Saqib Zafar has started anti adulteration and price checking drive on Wednesday and would be continued for one month to ensure the supply of durable items to the citizens.
Focal person of District Anti Adulteration Committee D.O. Enterprises Muhammad Saeed Toor along with Labor Inspector Rashid Ahmed and Food Inspector of health Department Rana Ghulam Murtaza raided in Mohallah Raja Sultan, Sixth Road, Sadiqabad chowk and Kurri Road.
DCO, Saqib Zafar said that the all price Magistrates had been directed to conduct this crackdown without discrimination to curve the undue profiteering and hoarding.
The team arrested the owner of Shazad General Store in Mohallah RajaSultan for not displaying Price list and the case under price Controlact was registered.
Team also checked Ghousia Hazara Hotel Mohallah Raja Sultan and Malkot Hotel Kuri Road. The owners were booked under food stuff act. The owner of Hijweri Milk Shop Mohallah Raja Sultan was arrested for selling curd at Rs.66 per k.g instead of fixed price Rs.50 per k.g. The sample of milk was also taken.
Similarly, the owner of Farooq bakers Mohallah Raja Sultan and Sufi Bakers Sixth Road were booked for not displaying price list and selling eggs 84 per dozen instead of Rs.81 per dozen fixed price. The committee plugged this campaign would be continued against the defaulters.
