1,100 kg worth of meat hazardous to health recovered from Karachi slaughterhouses

KARACHI: The Karachi Metropolitan Corporation (KMC) on Sunday recovered 1,100 kilos worth of meat hazardous to health from various slaughterhouses here in the metropolis' Orangi Town neighbourhood.

The substandard meat was recovered during raids at different abattoirs in Orangi Town and surroundings, the KMC said, adding that more than five slaughterhouses were sealed during the operation.

According to the KMC officials, the hazardous-to-health meat was supplied to various other places around the city.
