ISLAMABAD: Islamabad Electric Supply Company (IESCO) has completed installation of 23 power transformers of different capacity at 20 grid stations of the region in three month's record time with financial assistance of Asian Development Bank (ADB).
The IESCO spokeman said that the company had completed the said projects before the target date.
Owing to completion of these projects, the consumers will not only get smooth electricity but also get the facility of new electricity connections easily, he said.
He said the installation would also help end low voltage. "No grid stations of Islamabad and Rawalpindi would remain over loaded because of installation of these power transformers", the spokesman said.
The projects including 13 Nos of 40MVA and 10 Nos of 26MVA power transformers while 18 Nos (incoming panel) of 11KV switch gear and 53 Nos (outgoing panel) of 11KV switch gear projects were completed with the cost of billions of the rupes to keep the voltage smooth.
Moreover, the work of installation of 13,000 energy meters is also under progress which would be completed very soon.
He said the ADB has appreciated IESCO'S marvelous performance on completion of the work just in three months.
