Behroz Sabzwari clears the air on Syra-Shahroz divorce rumours

KARACHI: Noted TV actor Behroz Sabzwari has rejected rumours circulating on social media regarding his son Shahroz's divorce with wife Syra Yousuf.

While talking to Urdu publication Daily Jang, Behroz clarified that the two have not called off their marriage while noting that every family experiences disputes.

He also said that Syra has been staying with her ailing father to look after him.

The couple had had a "good marital life" for the past seven years, Behroz said.

Earlier, news of the separation of the celebrity couple had sent shock waves in the entertainment industry.

The duo had been regarded as a picture perfect couple living a happily married life. They had been blessed with a baby girl in 2014.

Rumours regarding an alleged split between the celebrity couple started doing the rounds on Sunday, with their names becoming top Twitter trends in Pakistan.

Hundreds of users speculated about the couple's current relationship status, with many of them claiming that they are no longer together.

While it was unclear what sparked the conversation on Twitter, the couple still 'follow' each other on Instagram and Syra's taken name also remains unchanged on the platform.

Neither Syra nor her husband Shahroz have reacted to the rumours surrounding their relationship so far.
