KARACHI: Quetta Gladiators' opening batsman Khurram Manzoor has aimed to maximise his advantage in this month's Pakistan Super League (PSL) 2020 in order to make a comeback to the national fold.

The Gladiators picked Manzoor — who last played an international game for Pakistan in 2016 — in the silver category for this year's PSL. The 33-year-old batsman has aimed to become one of the league's top performers.

"This is an opportunity for me and I will not let it go in vain. I am aiming to be among top performers," told geo.tv in Karachi.

"I have been in good form recently and have scored many runs in domestic tournaments. I am confident of continuing the same form in PSL," he said.

The batsman who previously played for Karachi Kings in the league said it is a good chance for players who are looking for a comeback.

The batsman said that he hasn't given up hope of making a comeback.

"A professional cricketer should never lose hope," he commented, adding that he was happy to be part of team Quetta Gladiators.

"I have played most of my domestic cricket with the majority of Quetta players, so it will help me in gel well with them. I am confident of a good show by the team and hopefully, we'll successfully defend the title," he concluded.
