LAHORE: Provincial metropolis received heavy downpour Saturday turning most city thoroughfares into rivulets making low-lying areas impassable.
Many roads remained submerged under water following cloud burst despite directives of the Chief Minister Punjab to WASA to ensure quick draining out of rain water.
Worst traffic jams were witnessed in various areas including in posh localities of Gulberg Main Buleward, Jail Road, Mall Road, Canal Road and Shadman Chowk.
Traffic muddles were also witnessed at Egerton road, Gowalmandi Chowk, Garhi Shahu Chowk, Davis Road, Railway Station, Samanabad, Mozang road, Brandath road.
The residents of Model Town, Johar town, Garden Town, Ghousia Colony were also affected as rain water entered houses due to poor sewerage system. (APP)
