KARACHI: Pakistan Railways has suffered another blow. Engineers have refused to run trains on two motor engines thus causing delays in the arrival and departure of trains, Geo News reported.
Engineers say they should be provided at least four motor engines and till this is done they are currently on strike. This has badly affected train arrival times and increased the burden being felt by passengers.
According to the railway officials a number of trains are unable to arrive on time. ‘Shah ruken Alam Express’ which travels to Multan had to depart at 6:30 AM, Awan Express at 8AM, and Super express which travels to Sargofdha at 9 AM. All these trains have been delayed.
Railway officials further said that on the protest of engineers they were trying to provide fit engines for trains. Due to delay in train arrivals, passengers are facing problem and a delays of 5-6 hours have become the norm.
