PESHAWAR: Provincial Finance Minister, Engineer Muhammad Humayun Khan said on Wednesday that huge funds are being provided for construction of small dams in order to tap the God-gifted hydle power potential of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
Talking to a delegation of Malakand here in his office, the minister said the government utilizing all the resources to increase power generation capacity of the province by curtailing non development expenditure to the maximum level so that to feed the development projects.
He maintained that federal government was greatly supporting the KPK in financial matters and thanked the federal government for its generosity.
PPP, he said is the party of common man which was taking its workers along with mutual consent in every party affair. The minister denied the notion of any difference with the judiciary, saying it has all the respect for the judiciary. Those attacked Supreme Court were in fact propagating judicial unrest, he added. PPP government was not interfering in the matters of judiciary nor it was obstructing its smooth functioning.
He told the delegates that work on numerous uplift projects was underway in Malakanad Agency and assured that no scheme mentioned in the ADP 2011-12 will be left uncompleted.
The minister sympathetically heard problems of the delegation and issued on-the-spot orders on some of them.
