David Beckham gushes over day he met Victoria Beckham for the first time

David and Victoria Beckham are a power couple in every sense of the word. Twenty years together and two children later, yet the couple still remains hopeless romantics at heart.
During an appearance on the Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon, David candidly shared details surrounding the day of his very first, and fateful encounter with Victoria, back in 1997.
David reiterated as he said, “She came to watch me in a [Manchester United] game in London with her manager at the time, and one of the other Spice Girls, Sporty Spice,” adding, “We all had our favorite Spice Girl…[Victoria] was obviously my favorite. It might be a bit awkward if [she] wasn’t.”
Although that was not the day that they officially met, Victoria did watch him play another game the following week.
"She’d had a couple of drinks. So I decided, ‘Why not? I’ll try and get her number,’” David recalled. He further went onto say, “We talked for about an hour in the players’ lounge. Then, she actually got the train up that day, so she wrote her number down on her train ticket, which I still have.”
