DCO asks officials to remain alert in rain

HYDERABAD: DCO Hyderabad Ahmed Bux Narejo has asked all Taluka Municipal Officers, officials of Water and Sanitation Agency and other concerned departments to put the staff on high alert during rainfalls with all de-watering pumping stations and standby generators in ready positions.

He warned that strict action would be initiated against those found negligent. In case of any loss of life or property, action would also be taken against the concerned staff, he added.

He asked the officers concerned to establish a control room and ensure presence of the officers of all concerned departments so that prompt measures could be adopted in case of any emergency during the rainfalls.

He directed that all drain nullah should be desilted with immediate effect while Wadhu Wah should also be cleaned of silt.
