Fire breaks out in 2 commercial plazas in Islamabad

ISLAMABAD: Fire broke out in two commercial plazas situated in the suburban area of the capital city that turned many shops and valuables into ashes Thursday morning, Geo News reported.

According to sources, fire broke out in the basement of a four-storey plaza in Alipur Farash area of Islamabad due to which other floors also caught fire. After a while, the second floor of a nearby plaza also caught fire.

The affected plazas had inflammable material that is used for construction purposes including chemicals and plastic.

Fire brigades are trying to extinguish fire while the owner of an affected building said that the incident does not seem accidental.
