FAISALABAD: Owners of more than 150 hotels, canteens and eatery shops were sent to jail during first 10 days of Ramadan-ul-Mubarak on charge of violating Ehtiram-e-Ramadan Ordinance.

According to a spokesman of City District Government (CDG), 54 special magistrates were deputed in Faisalabad district to get Ehtiram-e-Ramadan Ordinance implemented in its true letter and spirit.

These magistrates conducted raids in various parts of the city and found owners of 150 hotels, canteens and eatery shops violating the ordinance during fasting times.

The raiding officers sent the violators behind bars for 72 hours after completing challans against them. (APP)
