Federal cabinet takes stock of coronavirus situation

Prime Minister Imran Khan is chairing a meeting of the federal cabinet and is expected to discuss with the ministers on ways to deal with the coronavirus pandemic that has taken over the country, sources informed Geo News.

According to sources, the cabinet will also approve the relief package that was announced by PM Imran on Tuesday. They added that the PM will take the cabinet into confidence regarding the decision he has taken to fight the coronavirus pandemic.

Officials privy to the development say that the ministers have been instructed to join the meeting through a video link. They added that the arrangements have been set up in three different blocks at the Federal Secretariat and members of the cabinet have been asked to gather there.

The sources have also said that some minister have been asked to come to the Prime Minister House. The cabinet will focus on an eight-point agenda, said the sources.
