People advised to take precautions against water borne diseases

HYDERABAD: Director General Health Sindh, Dr.Hafizul Haq Memon has advised people to take necessary precautionary measures to avoid water borne diseases in view of current rainy season.

Dr.Hafizul Haq Memon said that the virus and bacteria grow in monsoon season increase number of patients suffering from water borne diseases including gastroenteritis, food poisoning, vomiting and fever and other poisonous diseases.

He said that during the current rainy season it is expected that consumption of contaminated water may cause motion, diarrhea, Hepatitis A and E calling for necessary precautionary measures including use of boiling water and avoiding stale food and over-ripened fruit.
