KARACHI: Sindh Chief Minister, Syed Qaim Ali Shah, on Saturday, in his Independence Day message said this day, reminds us the great sacrifices rendered during the Pakistan Movement.
He said the people of sub-continent won a separate homeland on August 14, 1947, after a long struggle under the dynamic leadership of Quaid-e-Azam, MohammadAli Jinnah.
He said the sacrifices made by the people during the Pakistan movement are an indelible part of our history.
He said we should promote solidarity and brotherhood among countrymen because some anti-state elements want to destabilize our country. Qaim said, on this day we should pledge for the prosperity and development of the country, adding by following the golden principles of the Quaid-e-Azam, we can put our country on the path of progress and development.
He said it’s ironical that on the 64th Independence Day, Sindh is hit by a wave of violence at the hands of miscreants coupled with a monstrous rainfall and the victims of both need immediate help.
CM Sindh in his concluding remarks said we should support the government as well as help the needy, exhibiting unity in the tough time.-APP
