Brig Mohammad Ahmed assumes office as PM’s new military secretary

Brig Ahmad has replace Brig Naseem Iftikhar Cheema who served as MS to the PM for two and a half years

ISLAMABAD: Brigadier Mohammad Ahmed assumed the charge of Military Secretary to Prime Minister Imran Khan on Wednesday, according to the Prime Minister Office. 

Brig Ahmad has replaced Brig Naseem Iftikhar Cheema, whose services according to The News have been reverted to the army. He will be posted at the Lahore Corps where he will command a brigade.

Brig Cheema served as MS to the prime minister for two-and-a-half years. 

He joined as MS to former prime minister Shahid Khaqan Abbasi and continued with the caretaker and the current prime minister. He replaced Brigadier Akmal Aziz who served as MS to the prime minister for less than four years before being posted to Sialkot to command a brigade.

The AK-21 Regiment officer Muhammad Ahmad had a meeting with his predecessor here on Tuesday for the debriefing.
