Ex-MNA among 16 others killed in Karachi

KARACHI: Former MNA Waja Ahmad Karim Dad Baloch among sixteen others were killed in fresh incidents of violence in various areas of the city, Geo News reported on Wednesday.

According to the details, incidents of violence took place in old city areas. Use of rockets, hand grenades and firing were reported in Meethadar, Kharadar and Bheempura among various other areas which killed at least nine people mounting the death toll to 16 during the last 24 hours.

Former MNA Waja Karim and his friends were gunned down when they were opening their fast near Docks police station. His friends were identified as Sadaruddin, Mohammad Yousuf, Abdul Sattar. Dead Body of Karim was taken to Civil Hospital. Meanwhile in the same area, some motorcyclist opened fire injuring four other people.

After the incident of Karim’s killing few angry mobs set two cars and motorcycles on fire.

Meanwhile, a gang war between two armed groups in Bheempura took a devastating turn when they started throwing hand grenades and firing rockets at each other, killing two, wounding eight.

Fear blanketed the whole area in the wake of this heavy shootout.

In Baldia town, unidentified armed men open fire near 24 Market injuring six people which were taken to Civil and Abbasi Shaheed hospitals.
