HYDERABAD: District Coordination Officer (DCO) Hyderabad, Ahmed Baksh Narejo has directed the education and revenue departments to take action against staff who remain absent from their work without permission.
Presiding over a meeting with the officials of Education Department, Sindh Text Book Board, Works and Services Department on Monday, the DCO also asked for providing free syllabus books in government schools.
Narejo commented the children in rural areas had the same potential like the urban children but due to lack of concern and absenteeism of teachers in government schools in villages, these children lag behind others.
The DCO directed EDO Education Niaz Laghari to take stringent measures to ensure attendance of teachers specially in the schools in rural areas.
