Barrister gunned down in Clifton

KARACHI: A lawyer was gunned down by unidentified armed men at his office at Zamzama Street on Thursday in the limits of Clifton Police Station, police said.

An official Yousuf at the station said Barrister Muhammad Murtaza Chanai was killed when unknown culprits entered his office situated at Zamama Lane No.9 Commercial. They asked him about some papers and later opened fire on him and fled from the crime scene.

The victim was resident of Bath Island and a lawyer of High Court. His body was shifted to Jinnah Postgraduate Medical Centre for medico-legal formalities. (PPI)
