150 FC personnel reach Karachi

KARACHI: Trains carrying Frontier Constabulary's (FC) 150 personnel to control law and order situation in the city arrived at Cantt Station after a delay of nine hours while 200 personnel of FC had already reached Karachi.

Interior ministry had directed to send 1000 personnel of FC to control ongoing target killings in Karachi on the request of Sindh government to federal government. FC was already given powers of police 25 days back.

FC sources said that FC personnel were staying at Police training centre, Saeed Abad. FC personnel were being sent to Karachi in various rounds due to lack of capacity in trains, sources added.
