WASA unable to provide water on Eid

HYDERABAD: Water Supply and Sanitation Agency (WASA) has said it would be unable to supply water to large parts of Hyderabad's City tehsil during the Eid holidays.

According to WASA spokesman Nadeem Yousuf, two of their filter plants at Halanaka and Paretabad would not be able to supply water to a number of localities which would remain without water unless the gates are opened again.

WASA said the canal was closed on Sunday night and would not be openedtill September 1 due to the rain forecast.

Halanaka, Kali Mori, Liaquat Colony, Firdous Colony, Massan Road,Shahdad Puri Mohallah, Ilyasabad, Gulshah Bukhari road, Bakra Mandi, Tando Agha, Tando Mir Muhammad, Islamabad, Milatabad, Mukhi Bagh, Rehman Town and Noorani Basti, among other areas, will be affected.
