Fresh rain further worsens situation in lower Sindh
MIRPURKHAS: Another spell of heavy rain seriously disturbed the flood affected people of Mirpurkhas, Badin, Tando Muhammad Khan, Umerkot, Tharparkar, Tando Allhyar and other districts and parts of lower Sindh.

It started raining Sunday evening, and continued frequently. Incessant rain for three hours Monday morning converted the cities, towns and villages of lower Sindh into lakes. Two to three feet rainy water was again flowing on main roads and low lying areas of Mirpurkhas and other cities and town of lower Sindh.

DCO Mirpurkhas Ghulam Hussain Memon under section 144 Cr.PC imposed ban on illegal cuts on canals, LBOD, water distributories and cancelled Eid holidays of all officials who are busy in rescue work for rehabilitation of flood and rain effected people.

Heaviest rain also fell in Mirwahgorchani, Digri, Tando Jan Muhammad, Jhuddo, Naokot, Umerkot, Samaro, Pithoro, Khipro, Dhoronaro, Kunri, Mithi, Diplo, Nagarparkar, Kandiyari, Tando Adam, Sinjhoro, Jhole and other towns and cites of the area.

Thousands of flood and rain affected people who were already facing serious situation in the aftermath of the earlier rains had to face further difficulties .

Power supply has been suspended in Mirpurkhas region and other parts of Lower Sindh and it was not restored till filing of this report. Owing to present spell business activities specially Eid-shopping has been disturbed. (APP)
