Paramedics announce to go on strike
LAHORE: The Punjab Paramedical Alliance(PPA) has announced to go on strike against inordinate delay of the notification for service structure of paramedical staff.

The announcement made in a meeting of PPA held here on Mondaywhich was attended by the office bearers of the alliance including Punjab Chairman Malik Munir Ahmed, Sultan Mehmood, Mian Mehmood, Muhammad Ilyas, Muhammad Akbar, Muhammad Shoaib, Imdad Gujjur and Muhammad Adil.

They said the finance department had not yet released the amount of Rs 370 million announced by the Senior Advisor to Chief Minister Sardar Zulfikar Ali Khan Khosa in a meetingwith paramedical staff held on May 12, 2011.

PPA Chairman Malik Munir Ahmad said that the paramedicswould stage sit-in in front of Chief Minister's House on September 7for their demands.

Meanwhile, a member of PPA Muhammad Mubeen threatened thathe would self-immolate in front of CM House Model Town during the PPA sit-in.
