ISLAMABAD: Chairman of the National Disaster Management Authority (NDMA) Dr. Zafar Iqbal Qadir on Thursday said that the government was making all out efforts to provide relief to the rain and flood affected people.
He said that rescue and relief work was the top priority of the government and in this regard, all important measures had been taken to overcome the situation emerged after the heavy rains and floods in Sindh.
Zafar Iqbal Qadir told State TV that all the national institutions, district governments and local administrations concerned were playing their role in the rain and flood-hit areas.
He said that the government was supplying food and providing shelter to the affected people.
Replying to a question, he said "we will have to meet the international standard in weather forecast system". (APP)
