RAWALPINDI: The jail authorities in Rawalpindi claimed on Sunday that there is no dengue patient in Adiala jail.

Giving the detail, Superintendent Adiala Jail Mohsin Rafique Chaudhry confirmed that all the prisoners are safe in the jail and no one is affected by the dengue virus.

He said that best cleanliness arrangements were made on the occasion, the barracks, kitchen and every corner of the jail were kept clean to avoid the virus, he added.

He said that awareness campaign was launched to inform the prisoners. Mohsin said that pamphlets have also been distributed in the jail to aware the prisoners about the deadly virus, all out efforts are being made to fight dengue virus, he added. He stressed the need that preventive measures should be adopted quoting that "prevention is better than cure".

He said that anti dengue spray has been completed in the jail in a bid to provide healthy atmosphere to the prisoners.

He said that there is no prisoner either man and woman affected by the virus and by the grace of God all the prisoner are safe hands.

Superintendent Jail said that he himself along with the jail doctor is visiting every day to know the latest situation and there is no fear about the dengue virus.

On the other hand, Hospitals in Rawalpindi , Holy Family Hospital, Benazir Bhutto Hospital and District Headquarter Hospital put red alert on the directives of Punjab chief minister to cope with the epidemic.
