RAWALPINDI: City Traffic Police has made several arrangements to intensify special drive already being run against the increasing trend of one-wheeling by youngsters.
Senior Traffic Police Officer (STO) Athar Ismail Amjad said this Monday while talking to APP.
He said the activity was already being checked by special squads of traffic officials deputed on the city roads but now, several other arrangements have also been made to curb the activity.
He informed that city traffic police is taking stern action against the one-wheelers and the city roads especially the attractive areas for the activity are being covered.
Meanwhile, Senior Traffic Officer, Syed Ishtiaq Shah told that City Traffic Police in its operation against one-wheeling have arrested several youngsters in August while scores of others were fined particularly those who were found indulged in rash and dangerous driving, he added. He said an operation against one-wheeling and rash driving was launched in August and efforts to curb the activity are continuing. (APP)
