As citizens continued to grapple with the city-wide destruction caused by monsoon rains on Sunday, Pakistan Army said its relief and rescue efforts in flood-hit areas are underway.
The Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) said the military's engineers had cleared Karachi Port Trust (KPT), Civic Centre, and the Mohsin Bhopali and Golimar underpasses for traffic but that work on the Gizri underpass is "in progress".
"De-watering at multiple locations continues to ensure availability of civic facilities," the ISPR said.
"Army mobile recovery vehicles are deployed at various choke points to shift vehicles stuck in flood to ensure flow of traffic," it added.
