Dengue fever kills six more people in Lahore
LAHORE: Six more people lost their lives in Lahore after suffering from Dengue fever, raising the toll to 77, Geo News reported Saturday. In Punjab, 9,500 cases of Dengue have been confirmed.

Tufail aged 70, Arshad 45 and Jahanzaib 20 are the victims of Dengue virus who lost their lives in Mayo Hospital today.

The suspected victims of Dengue fever are continuously visiting hospitals and only patients with critical condition are admitted. Majority of the patients are not satisfied with the treatment provided in the hospitals.

Chief Minister Punjab Shahbaz Sharif chaired yet another session of Dengue Emergency Committee to discuss the situation and ordered to set up a temporary field hospital in the city.

He was told in the meeting that the machines required in Dengue treatment would reach Lahore on September 28. Also, 624 nurses have been recruited and deputed in different hospitals.
