ISLAMABAD: Jamat-e-Islami (JI) has announced to hold a national conference on September 28 over the allegations hurled by the US on Pakistan and its spymaster ISI, Geo News reported Saturday.

Baloch during a news conference here, asserted that the US wanted to create a new situation in the region in view of its fears of defeat in Afghanistan.

He called upon all the political parties to formulate a joint policy to cope with the challenges faced by the country on both internal and external fronts.

"Jamat-e-Islami has convened the national conference to deliberate on internal issues including Karachi situation besides the US allegations thrown our way," the JI leader said, adding, political and religious parties, lawyers, civil society and scholars had been invited to the moot.

He observed that after India, it was now the US that has become hostile against Pakistan just to establish its hegemony in this region.

He claimed that the murder of former Afhanistan president Burhanuddin Rabbani and the assault on US Embassy in Afghanistan was orchestrated.
