Female dengue patient expires
FAISALABAD: A female dengue patient has expired in the hospital while 96 patients including a lady doctor and a local Member of Punjab Assembly (MPA) are still under treatment in Allied and District Headquarters (DHQ) hospitals Faisalabad with 28 new dengue cases here on Friday.

According to Executive District Officer Health (EDO) Dr. Abdur Rauf, 13 dengue patients were brought from different parts of Faisalabad for treatment on Friday while out of remaining 15 new cases, 8 patients belong to Lahore, two to Toba Tek Singh and one each to Chiniot, Sargodha, Jhang, Sahiwal and Nankana districts.

A female dengue patient Nasreen Bibi expired today in hospital while 96 others including Lady Doctor Masooma Sardar and MPA Rana Muhammad Afzal are still under treatment in both teaching hospitals of Faisalabad. 77 patients are being provided intensive care treatment in the Isolation Ward of Allied Hospital while remaining 19 patients were admitted in DHQ Hospital.

Out of them, 53 patients belonged to Faisalabad district while 43 were from other districts; Dr. Rauf said and added that health department is taking all possible steps to eliminate dengue menace. However people should also play their dynamic role to control this disease.
