PESCO appeals for efficient use of energy

PESHAWAR: PESCO has requested the consumers to conserve maximum energy as the current energy crisis was due to decrease in power generation.

Pesco has also issued revised load shedding schedule, according to which Pesco was carrying 8 to 9 hours load shedding in urban areas where as in rural areas 10 to 11 hours load shedding was being carried out through out the Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa.

On all, 11 KV feeders as per allotted quota of 960 MW, Pesco has appealed to its customers to minimize the use of electricity so that the load shedding duration may be reduced and over loading of the system could be avoided. It said we can overcome the current energy crisis only with the help of customers' cooperation.

PESCO was taking all possible steps to overcome the energy crisis, however less consumption especially during the peak hours i.e from 6.00 pm to 11.00 pm was stressed by the company. The industrial consumers were also requested for extending cooperation in this regard to save at least 25 percent energy. (APP)
