TMA gets vacated land worth Rs 80 million

RAWALPINDI: The Tehsil Municipal Administration (TMA)launched an operation against land mafia on Saturday and got vacated seven kanal land behind Moti Mahal from the land grabbers.

The operation was launched on the directive TMA Administrator and Assistant Commissioner Saif Anwar Jappa. The land is worth Rs 80 million.

During the operation, the TMA staff along with heavy machinery demolished illegal boundary walls errected on the site.

Talking to journalists, the TMA Administrator said thatsome political elements were backing the land mafia.

He said that no one would be allowed to garb the TMA land. The land still under the occupation of mafia would be got vacted at all costs.re.
