Tradesfolk urged to help fight dengue
RAWALPINDI: Commissioner of Rawalpindi Zahid Saeed said that business community should support the effort of the administration against dengue virus.

It should spray in their respective bazaars and markets and where the spray has already been done must be repeated to eliminate the dengue virus from the city.

He expressed these views while talking to a delegation of office bearers of Markazi Anjuman Tajiran Rawalpindi which met him in his office headed by senior vice president Markazi Anjuman Tajran Rawalpindi Sharjeel Mir and consisted of General Secretary Khawaja Mushtaq Ahmed, joint secretary Tahir Taj Bhatti, president of Markzi Tanzeem Tajran Ch. Muhammad Imran, Chairman China Market Fahim Siddiqi , Chairman Electronics Dealers Association Attiq Siddiqi and other traders were in the delegation.

Senior Vice President Sharjeel Mir informed the commissioner that spray campaign was carried out by the traders in different bazaars and markets on self help basis.

Chairman electronic Dealers Association Attiq Siddiqi said that on DAV College Road spray was conducted under the auspices of traders union of that road.

Commissioner Zahid Saeed said that private security guard should be deployed for the protection of the markets. He further said that CCTV camera should be installed, in case of any mishap or occurrence the culprits could be detected with help of footage of those cameras, he added. The delegation assured the commissioner that they would continue their cooperation in future. (APP)
