Police taking strict action against violation of marriage laws
RAWALPINDI: City police on Monday have registered four cases on the violation of marriage laws.

Talking to a local news agency, City Police Officer (CPO) Azhar Hameed Khokar said that a comprehensive campaign has been launched against the people who were violating marriage laws. He said that no one would be allowed to violate marriage laws, aerial firing and fireworks prohibited on marriage parties adding that these laws are in best interest of the people.

The CPO said that directions have given to Superintendent of Police (SP) SDPO and SHO's to take strict action against the violators.

Azhar said that in the past, many untoward incidents were took place due to the violation of laws in which precious lives were lost.

Due to this illegal practice sorrow and sadness prevails in marriage houses, he added.

Earlier, City police have registered seven cases, today 4 more cases have been registered in different police stations on the charges of violating marriage law.
