LAHORE: Eight people including three women lost their lives due to Dengue here on Tuesday, Geo News reported. The toll now stands at 222 in Lahore and 247 in the Punjab.
According to sources, the government has formed Punjab Medical Research Fund to conduct research on Dengue and other diseases.
The data shows that after the confirmation of 308 news cases of Dengue, the total number of patients has soared to 17,522.
People with fever are still visiting hospitals however the crowd has reduced.
While chairing the Dengue emergency committee meeting, Chief Minister Punjab Shahbaz Sharif ordered for effective monitoring system for the treatment of virus.
