Dengue kills four more in Lahore

LAHORE: The killer Dengue virus claimed four more lives including that in Lahore Wednesday, Geo News reported. The death toll now stands at 227 in Lahore and 253 in the Punjab province.

According to details, two patients- Javed Asghar and Nabeela- who were suffering from Dengue fever died in Mayo Hospital Wednesday morning.

The health department said 215 new cases were confirmed in the past 24 hours. The total number of affectees has now reached 17,587 in Punjab. In Lahore, 15,080 are still suffering from the virus. 1,397 patients are getting treatment in different hospitals while 17,335 were cured till date.
