KARACHI: Kamran Khan, Azhar Abbas, Iftikhar Ahmed and other senior journalists have announced their disassociation from Axact's media group in the wake of the ongoing FIA probe against the IT company.

The FIA initiated its probe following an investigative report on Axact in the New York Times which alleged that the company had made millions by selling fake degrees online.

The big names in the field of mainstream media and journalism took to the micro blogging website Twitter to announce their resignations.

Kamran Khan:




Kamran Khan was Editor-in-Chief and President for Axact's media group.

Azhar Abbas:




Azhar Abbas was President and CEO, for the news channel of Axact's media group

Iftikhar Ahmed:




Iftikhar Ahmed was Senior Executive Vice President and Senior Anchroperson for Axact's media group.

Asma Shirazi




Asma Shirazi was Senior Anchorperson, Executive Vice President for Axact's media group

Wajahat S. Khan



Wajahat S. Khan was Senior Anchorperson, Executive Vice President of Axact’s media group

Nusrat Javed

Nusrat Javed has also resigned as Executive Vice President and Senior Anchorperson at Axact’s media group.

He tweeted: “Although I strongly feel that my colleagues in media rushed to pass final judgment regarding our relations with Bol. Yet I am quitting.”
